There are 4 main parts to the design of an Osteo-Ti implant.
The implant: This is the actual bit of titanium that is placed into the jaw bone and acts like a root of a tooth.
The abutment: This sits on top of the implant and acts like a peg. To ensure that the crown (tooth replacement) is as natural looking as possible the abutment can be slightly angled.
The locking screw: this secures the implant and the abutment together and makes sure that they do not move in relation to each other.
The Crown: This is the bit you can see. It is tooth coloured and shaped to look as natural as possible and it is cemented to the abutment.
